Billing shows the state of the purchase recorded against your account: whether it is active, whether it is a trial, and when it was made. Calamus is a one-time purchase, so there is no renewal date and nothing recurring to manage here.
The license number
The number shown takes the form CAL-XXXX-XXXX and is derived from your entitlement, so it is the same number every time. It exists for one purpose: to be quoted in support correspondence.
It is not a license key. Nothing validates against it, no feature is unlocked by it, and there is nowhere in Calamus to enter it. If you are looking for a box to type it into, there isn’t one, and nothing is wrong.
What a purchase covers
The modules included at the time of purchase and every subsequent update to them, at no further charge. Compile is part of the full version and is not included in the trial. The terms are in clause 5 of the Terms of Service.
Trials
A trial runs for 14 days in the browser, takes no payment card, and is limited to one per email address. Account access continues for seven days after it expires, and purchasing within that period restores full functionality with all content intact.
The Calamus Ideas subscription
Calamus Ideas is included for anyone with a Calamus license. It is also sold separately, to people without one, as a $4.99 monthly subscription purchased inside that application. Apple is the seller of record for that subscription, so it is managed and canceled under your Apple ID rather than here, and Apple administers its refunds.
Refunds
Calamus is sold without a right of refund, which is what the 14-day trial exists to make fair. Where a refund is nonetheless granted, the consequences, including a seven-day window in which to export your work, are set out in clause 7 of the Terms of Service. Read that clause before requesting one.
