Focus Mode dims everything except the paragraph you are working on, so the page stays in front of you and the rest recedes. Composition Mode clears the screen down to the text alone. Both are one keystroke away and one keystroke back, so you can change how much you are looking at without losing your place.

Text exchanges, letters, and emails format themselves as you write them; dateline, salutation, and signoff for a letter, From/To/Subject fields for an email, instead of you hand-indenting a paragraph and hoping it looks right.
